gigs I have been meaning to do this for a few years now but kept putting it off,as I often do. I got to thinking about all the bands I have seen over the years and which ones had made the biggest impression on me as 1) a musician and 2) just as a fan of music.

I narrowed it down to just a few gigs and bands. Please don’t quote me on the dates and times etc. As years of beer and thrash metal abuse has taken it’s toll!

Thrash than trash
Date Uma Thurman than Pamela Anderson
Eat steak than fish
Drink Smithwicks than Guiness
Walk than run
Rock than roll
Not listen to politicians
See than hear
Be polite than rude
Speak my mind
Have kids than not
Love and be loved
…always try rather than give up.

Underrated!

Gary Holt is probably one of the most underrated metal guitar players on the planet. His awesome playing with Exodus never gets recognized in guitar mags at all. WTF!

Gary was Kirk Hammett’s replacement in Exodus when Kirk joined Metallica in 1983. While the “Hamsters” playing seems to stagnated over the years, Gary Holt has got heavier and meaner.Yet, still no accolades.It’s a total injustice in my opinion.
