Nat texted me last night to tell me that our search for missing Hydra Vein vocalist Mike was over. We found via MySpace that Mike had died a while back.

According to record company,the album not being released ’til Aug/sept now!!!!.
Typical record company hanging it out bollox!!…..when will these wankers drag thmselves into the 21st century and get their fingers out.20 years on and nothing changes!.Thank God the internet is kicking all their arses.
On another note,I will start work properly on my 1st CD when I come back off hols in July.A couple of songs have been finished for nearly a year,but I got side tracked with web/band sites….and I am inherently lazy!

Hi all….been busy this week to find time to write about last Saturadys Hydra Vein Reunion.

Well it was a great afternoon meeting the chaps and good fun was had by all!!. Lots of beer and catching up on the last 20 years.Shame Mike is still MIA,but was good to meet Paul for the first time. Hope to do it all again soon………now when’s that friggin’ cd comin’ out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, tomorrow Saturday is the big Hydra Vein piss up over in Brighton to celebrate the forthcominig re-release of the 2 albums. I have not seen Damon or Stephen in nearly 20 years!. Paul I have never met as he and the late Jon Balfour replaced Stephen and I in 1989. So I am really lookin’ forward to it…..big time!

Here is the first look at the Hydra Vein re-release. Both “Rather Death”and “After The Dream” will be on one cd.

80% of “Rather Death” has been digitally remixed and the rest of the tracks,along with “After the dream” have been “tweaked”. More soon.

Just got an mp3 of Rabid from the studio…….sounds friggin’ awesome even after 20years.Great work guys more real soon,too excited.

Spoke to Nat yesterday afternoon,the master tape seems to be holding up ok.They have re-mixed a couple of tracks already and according to Nat sound great.

That is great news after the few set backs yesterday morning.

Well the time has finally come round to remix the Rather Death…. album and hopefully make it what it should have been in 1988. A fucking stonking thrash metal album!!…..I am hearing from the boys in the studio that the original Master tape is a bit worse for wear. All stuck together!. I think Damon has been using it for a beer mat these last 19 years LOL!.

Well lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
