I’m Back!

Well I finally got my arse into gear and re did my little ol’ site. Now i don’t confess to be a web designer, but I know what I like. So I did it all myself with a lot of influence from Matt Brett and Elliot Jay Stocks. I hope I have not plagiarized their work too much. I just love that kind of design and tore my hair out trying see how they did it the context of Wordpress. I try and validate my work as much as possible just ‘cos I am a anorak!. This is a work in progress so ignore the bugs, they will be fixed soon. Here is what i used.

• Rencent Posts and Comments plugin by Rob J Marsh
• FancyZoom js for pic zooming. Easier to use than Lightbox.(coming soon)
• Last FM Records plugin
• Twitter Tools
• WP Youtube plugin. Lets me display validated vids
• Simple Tags Plugin
• Friend Feed Activity widget for Lifestream.( Will hard code that soon)

Anyway on another note I have got together with the talented Clive Murray, Mark Lemon and Vince Webb formerly of The Kalm, to form a metal covers band. Really looking forward to that. It is great to be playing more guitar lateley. I have really missed it. The band is called Panik Atakk..very 8o’s!. No doubt a website will appear with various dodgy entertainment

Html Validation is not very rock n’ roll is it?. I learnt shed loads of theory when learning to play the guitar only to throw it away and play from within. Rules are ok,but are they not made to be broken?.

So when people say my site is not xhtml valid (only the Flickr plugin!!) do I give a toss?. NO!.

Guidelines are great but if we all stuck to the rules we would all still be living in caves
